Cardano (ADA) Faces Channel Test With a Nearly 20% Downside Scenario
Analyst Ali says ADA may have fallen below a rising price channel, putting $0.21 and $0.22 in focus. A close below the channel’s lower boundary could add weight to the case for further losses. But the cited price targets are conditional technical scenarios, not forecasts.
- Ali’s analysis of the rising price channel identifies $0.21 as a potential breakdown level.
- One downside scenario suggests a roughly 19% drop, from $0.21 to $0.17.
- Reported large-holder activity varies by wallet group and measurement period.
- Cardano’s June 2026 update confirmed a Leios testnet, not a Dijkstra testnet.
What the channel analysis says
Analyst Ali said in a post on X, cited in a market report, that ADA had traded within a rising parallel channel since the end of June. According to the analysis, the price rose from $0.138 to $0.282 during that period.
A rising channel is a chart pattern where price moves between two roughly parallel lines that slope upward. Traders may see it as a sign of an uptrend. A move below the lower line can raise doubts about whether that trend is holding.
Ali’s analysis said ADA appeared to have fallen below the channel’s lower boundary, which it placed at about $0.21. A daily close below that level could strengthen the case for a breakdown. The analysis did not specify the chart timeframe or how the channel was drawn, so readers cannot independently assess how those levels were chosen.
The analysis also marked $0.220 as a resistance zone, an area where selling may make it harder for ADA to climb. If that level holds as resistance, Ali’s scenario points to $0.166. A daily close below $0.21 could instead open a path toward $0.17.
The percentage depends on which scenario you measure. A move from $0.21 to $0.17 is about 19%. A drop from $0.220 to $0.166 is about 24.5%. These are separate calculations, not a single, precise 20% target.
SuperTrend signal is not a forecast
The report also said ADA’s SuperTrend indicator had turned bearish. SuperTrend is a charting tool traders use to gauge trend direction. Its readings depend on the chosen timeframe and settings.
The report compared the signal with one dated May 22, which it said was followed by a 46% correction. It did not give the year, chart settings or timeframe for that comparison. One past example cannot show how reliably the indicator predicts future moves, or prove that ADA will fall by the same amount again.
The report’s undated price snapshot put ADA at $0.20, down 4.03% over 24 hours and 6.05% over the week. It also said ADA was entering its third day of declines since October 21. The publication date and market-data provider were not identified, so these figures provide historical context, not a current price update.
Large-holder data depend on the wallet group
Ali said balances among wallets holding 100 million to 1 billion ADA had been relatively flat for 10 days. If accurate, that describes one wallet-size group over a short period. It does not show what those holders plan to do next.
A separate BeInCrypto report carried by Yahoo Finance, citing Santiment, looked at a broader group: wallets holding at least 1 million ADA. It reported that those wallets held 25.09 billion ADA, or 67.47% of circulating supply, and had added 410 million ADA since the start of 2026.
The figures do not directly conflict with Ali’s observation. They cover different wallet groups and periods, and the reports do not give aligned observation dates or comparable methods. Wallet balances also do not necessarily represent individual investors. Exchanges and custodians may hold assets for many customers in a single wallet. On-chain data can show where tokens sit, but not why they moved or who ultimately controls them.
Leios and Dijkstra are different milestones
Cardano’s testnet developments matter for the network’s progress, but the names are important. The Cardano Foundation’s June 2026 activities update said the Leios public testnet had gone live. The update described Leios as an effort to increase throughput with Endorser Blocks and committee-based validation.
The update covered the Dijkstra era separately, including planned optimizations to PlutusV4, nested transactions and enhanced account addresses. It also noted preliminary Dijkstra-era support in Ogmios v7.0.0. It did not say that a public Dijkstra testnet had launched.
A Dijkstra testnet could launch later, but it should not be treated as confirmed without a separate announcement from Cardano, Input Output or Intersect. Development support, an upgrade era and a live public testnet are related milestones, but they are not interchangeable.
Key questions about ADA’s setup
-
What price could strengthen the breakdown case?
Ali identified a daily close below about $0.21 as a possible signal. That is an analyst’s chosen level, not a guarantee of further losses.
-
How much downside do the scenarios imply?
About 19% from $0.21 to $0.17, or roughly 24.5% from $0.220 to $0.166. The figures refer to separate price scenarios.
-
Do whale figures show that large holders are buying or selling?
Not conclusively. The reported flat balances cover wallets holding 100 million to 1 billion ADA over 10 days. Other accumulation figures cover a broader group and a different period.

Did Cardano launch a Dijkstra public testnet?
The Foundation’s June 2026 update confirmed a Leios public testnet and discussed Dijkstra-era development. It did not confirm a Dijkstra public testnet.
For traders, the key distinction is between a brief move below a chart line and a close that meets the analyst’s stated condition. For anyone tracking Cardano upgrades, the same care applies: separate planned development from a testnet that has actually been announced as live.
