Coinbase Sets November Trading Suspensions and Futures Launches

Coinbase has scheduled several token trading suspensions for November 2026, listed the Solana-based Collector Crypt token under the ticker CARD, and announced perpetual futures tied to four stock-market symbols. Some practical details remain unclear, particularly around legacy AERO transfers and the futures contracts’ terms.

  • Nov. 16: NEON and SYND trading is scheduled to stop.
  • Nov. 20: STG and PYR trading is scheduled to stop.
  • Nov. 23: FORTH trading is scheduled to halt.
  • Collector Crypt: Coinbase uses CARD; the token is natively known as CARDS.
  • Nov. 9: Perpetual futures for BMNR, WDC, RKLB and AAOI are scheduled to launch.

November Trading Suspensions

Coinbase plans to suspend trading for Neon EVM (NEON) and Syndicate (SYND) on November 16, 2026, at 2 p.m. ET. The suspension will cover Coinbase Simple and Advanced Trade, Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Prime.

Trading for Stargate Finance (STG) and Vulcan Forged (PYR) is scheduled to stop on November 20 at 2 p.m. ET across those same services. Coinbase has also scheduled a halt to Ampleforth Governance Token (FORTH) trading for November 23 at 2 p.m. ET. The available notice does not say which services the FORTH halt covers.

Coinbase’s notice says the NEON and SYND suspensions and the FORTH halt follow recent asset reviews, but does not disclose what those reviews found. It also gives no reason for suspending STG and PYR. There is no stated basis for concluding that the assets were selected for the same reason.

A trading suspension means trading on the named services is set to end. It does not, by itself, mean a token no longer exists or that Coinbase will stop holding it. The notices do not say what deposit, withdrawal or custody options will remain for each asset. Holders should check Coinbase’s asset-specific instructions before the scheduled dates rather than assume they can still trade or move tokens afterward.

Collector Crypt Listed as CARD

Coinbase has added the Solana-based Collector Crypt token to its platform and app. Users can buy, sell, convert, send, receive or store it. The available details do not specify geographic restrictions or provide a token contract address.

The token is natively known as CARDS, but Coinbase uses CARD to avoid a ticker already assigned to another listing. Coinbase has not said which listing could conflict. The November delisting schedule also includes a warning on a Solana token listing.

Before transferring any token, check the network and contract address against the recipient’s instructions. A matching ticker or project name does not prove that two assets are interchangeable, or that a transfer will reach the intended destination.

AERO Conversion: What Coinbase Says, and What Remains Unclear

Coinbase says it has completed the conversion of Aerodrome Finance (AERO) and Velodrome Finance (VELO) to the new Aero (AERO) token. Sends and receives for AERO and VELO have also been re-enabled, the company says.

That does not mean Coinbase supports every token labeled AERO. The exchange says it no longer supports deposits or withdrawals of the legacy AERO token and warns that deposits of it to a Coinbase address may not be recoverable.

The available details do not explain how the conversion handled users’ former AERO and VELO balances. They also do not identify the networks and contract addresses that distinguish legacy AERO from the new AERO. Since both use the AERO ticker, users should check the token contract and network before transferring funds. If anything is unclear, consult Coinbase’s current asset instructions before sending.

Perpetual Futures for Four Stock-Market Symbols

Coinbase has scheduled perpetual futures for BMNR, WDC, RKLB and AAOI to go live on November 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. UTC. The symbols belong to publicly traded companies, BitMine Immersion Technologies, Western Digital, Rocket Lab and Applied Optoelectronics, not crypto tokens.

A perpetual future is a contract with no fixed expiry date. Coinbase’s announcement names the contracts by ticker but does not provide their specifications, such as the precise reference asset or index, margin requirements, or whether and how leverage will be available. The products will be available to retail traders and institutions on Coinbase, Coinbase Advanced and Deribit in select jurisdictions, but the announcement does not say which product will be offered on each venue or name the eligible jurisdictions. Coinbase has also opened U.S.-regulated access to crypto perpetuals.

These contracts are derivatives, not ownership of the companies’ shares. Perpetual futures can provide leveraged exposure, but leverage can amplify losses as well as gains. The announcement does not include enough detail to assess the risks of these specific contracts.

Key Questions and Answers

  • When are the token trading suspensions scheduled?

NEON and SYND: November 16, 2026, at 2 p.m. ET. STG and PYR: November 20 at 2 p.m. ET. FORTH: November 23 at 2 p.m. ET.

  • Does a trading suspension confirm that Coinbase will stop holding or transferring a token?

No. The notices specify changes to trading but do not fully explain deposit, withdrawal or custody arrangements. Check the asset-specific instructions for each token.

  • What should users check before transferring CARD or AERO?

Verify the network and contract address, not just the ticker or project name. Coinbase warns that deposits of legacy AERO may not be recoverable, and the available details do not identify the contracts for the old and new AERO tokens.

  • What do BMNR, WDC, RKLB and AAOI futures refer to?

The symbols correspond to BitMine Immersion Technologies, Western Digital, Rocket Lab and Applied Optoelectronics. Coinbase’s announcement does not provide the contracts’ precise reference assets or terms. Buying a future is not the same as owning shares.
