Ondo Reports $4B in Tokenized Assets; RWA.xyz Ranking Remains Unverified

Ondo Finance says it has become the world’s largest tokenization platform, with more than $4 billion in tokenized products. RWA.xyz figures back up Ondo’s reported scale, but its profile does not show a ranking. And the tokens do not necessarily give holders ownership of the assets they reference.

  • RWA.xyz reports $4.07 billion in Ondo Distributed Asset Value.
  • Ondo says it ranks first among 203 platforms tracked by RWA.xyz, but the profile does not verify that claim.
  • Its stock and Treasury tokens offer economic exposure, not direct ownership of the underlying securities.
  • Rights, eligibility and liquidity depend on the product and jurisdiction.

What the numbers establish, and what they don’t

In a press release dated Nov. 5, 2026, Ondo said RWA.xyz ranks it first among 203 tokenization platforms. The company reported more than $4 billion in tokenized products, 484 distinct real-world assets and more than 565, 000 onchain holders.

RWA.xyz’s Ondo profile reports $4.07 billion in Distributed Asset Value, 484 RWAs and 568, 129 holders. That supports Ondo’s claim that its reported asset value exceeds $4 billion. But the profile does not show a ranking across platforms, a count of 203 platforms or the methodology behind the comparison.

The labels matter. RWA.xyz calls its figure “Distributed Asset Value, ” while Ondo’s release also uses “market capitalization.” The release does not say whether the two measures are equivalent. One passage says Ondo’s market capitalization “exceeds $4” without giving a unit. Elsewhere, the company says it exceeds $4 billion.

The RWA.xyz profile has no snapshot date, and the available data does not define its “Holders” label. The figure should not be treated as a count of unique people. The methodology does not say whether it counts wallet addresses, custodial accounts or individuals.

Ondo’s release also cites RWA.xyz figures showing more than $39 billion in non-stablecoin tokenized assets, up from roughly $4 billion at the start of 2025. The company says Ondo represents about 10% of that market. Those market-wide totals and Ondo’s share are claims in the company announcement. The available RWA.xyz profile does not provide the dated market data needed to check them. For context on other company claims, Ondo’s reported fees and planned perps launch have also drawn market attention.

Treasuries anchor the platform

Ondo says its Treasury products are worth more than $3 billion, about a fifth of the $14.2 billion tokenized Treasury market. The company also calls USDY the world’s largest tokenized Treasury product. To assess those totals and comparisons, you would need a dated market snapshot using consistent measures.

An undated RWA.xyz Treasury listing puts USDY at $2, 395, 707, 489, ahead of Circle USYC at $2, 240, 458, 696 and BlackRock’s BUIDL at $1, 885, 620, 648. That listing shows USDY in the lead for that snapshot, but does not establish its position on the date of Ondo’s announcement.

A token linked to Treasuries is not the same as holding a Treasury security directly. Ondo’s disclosures say USDY provides economic exposure to short-term U.S. Treasuries. It is not itself a U.S. Treasury and does not give holders the right to hold or receive Treasury securities.

Tokenized stocks are not the same as owning stocks

Ondo says its Global Markets business launched in September 2025 and became the largest tokenized stock issuer within 48 hours. The company says the service offers more than 430 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs across Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain, with more than $900 million in tokenized value. The available RWA.xyz profile does not include comparative stock-issuer data to verify those claims.

What the tokens legally represent matters more than the label. Ondo’s disclosures say “Ondo Stocks” are not stocks, ETFs or American depositary receipts. They provide economic exposure to referenced assets, including dividends less applicable tax withholdings. Holders do not have the right to hold or receive the underlying securities.

That distinction affects the rights holders can enforce and what could happen if an issuer or service provider runs into trouble. A token on a blockchain does not, by itself, establish ownership of the asset it references. The governing documents for each product determine the legal claims involved.

Multichain access, with different counts

Ondo says its products are available across 10 blockchains. RWA.xyz’s network table lists nine: Ethereum, Stellar, Solana, BNB Chain, Sei, XRP Ledger, Sui, Arbitrum and Tempo. The table does not confirm Ondo’s 10-network claim. But the difference alone does not prove the figure is wrong. The sources may reflect different snapshots or definitions.

The same RWA.xyz table reports $513.8 million in Ondo assets on Solana, $538.6 million on Stellar and $485.5 million on BNB Chain. It lists 485 RWAs on Solana, compared with 484 in Ondo’s overall profile. The data does not explain how network-level counts are calculated, so the figures should not be treated as directly comparable or added together to recreate the platform-wide total.

Access and liquidity still come with conditions

Tokenization puts financial products on blockchain networks and can make them transferable through that infrastructure. It does not automatically make a product available to everyone, guarantee steady liquidity or remove the legal and operational risks tied to the issuer and underlying arrangements.

Ondo’s disclosures set different conditions based on jurisdiction and investor type. Some products may be available to retail and professional investors in certain European Economic Area states. Others are restricted to professional investors. Eligibility depends on the product and local rules.

Ondo says certain products have been admitted to trading on Nest Exchange Limited, a multilateral trading facility for digital assets operated by Binance in Abu Dhabi Global Market. Its disclosures say the ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority did not approve or verify the related documents. Admission to trading does not amount to regulatory approval or endorsement of a product.

Ondo also warns that trading outside the main U.S. market’s hours may mean thinner liquidity, wider bid-ask spreads and a bigger gap between a token’s price and the value of its reference asset. Prices may move sharply when U.S. markets reopen, and holders could lose some or all of their purchase price.

These caveats matter when assessing tokenized finance. Onchain transferability is only one part of the offer. Investors also need to understand the product’s legal rights, redemption terms, custody arrangements and exposure to counterparties.
